About

In 2025, Izzi’s Gym opened its doors, but its story began years earlier with a tiny, furry bundle of joy named Izzi. As the first dog in our family, Izzi wasn’t just a pet; she was a beacon of unconditional love and a source of endless joy. At the age of 36, I, Nick Hamze, discovered the transformative power of canine companionship through this extraordinary Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

A Bond Like No Other

Izzi quickly became my entire world. Her playful spirit, unwavering loyalty, and infectious happiness filled our home with laughter and warmth. She wasn’t just a dog; she was my best friend, confidant, and a constant source of comfort. Our bond was unbreakable, or so I thought.

Facing the Unthinkable

Tragedy struck when Izzi was just 3 1/2 years old. A rare autoimmune disease took her from us suddenly, leaving a void that seemed impossible to fill. The loss of Izzi plunged me into a deep depression, a darkness I feared I’d never escape. Shortly after another tragedy struck and our beloved father went to heaven to be with Izzi.

A Spark of Hope

In the midst of grief, an idea emerged – a way to honor Izzi’s and our father’s memory and create something positive from our loss. What if we could build a place where Izzi’s spirit of love, fun, and companionship could live on? A place where other lonely hearts could find solace and joy?
